Product Overview

DAA series Low Voltage Air circuit breaker is suitable for the circuit of AC 50Hz/60Hz with rated service voltage 400V, 690V and rated service current up to 6300A. It is mainly used to distribute electric energy and protect circuits and electric equipment against over-load, under-voltage, short-circuit and single-phase earthing fault.

With intelligentized and selective protection functions, the breaker can improve the reliability of power supply, and avoid unnecessary power failure. The breaker is applicable for power stations, factories, mines (for 690V) and modern high-buildings, especially for the distribution system of intelligentized building.

Key Advantages

High Breaking Capacity: 380/400V (80-120kA) and 660/690V (50-85kA) with non-ionization distance.
Intelligent Protection: Microprocessor-based electronic trip unit with advanced protective functions.
Modular Structure: Simple maintenance and adjustment-free design across the whole series.
Double Insulation: Operated safely and reliably from the front face of the circuit breakers.
Compact & Lightweight: Optimized for space-saving in LV assemblies.
Global Compliance: Fully compliant with IEC 947-2 and GB14048.2 standards.

Operating & Installation Conditions

Ambient Temperature: Range from -5ºC to +40ºC. 24h average does not exceed +35ºC.
Altitude: Installation site altitude should not exceed 2000m.
Humidity: Relative humidity ≤ 50% at +40ºC. Higher humidity permitted at lower temperatures (e.g., 90% at +25ºC).
Vertical Inclination: Should not exceed 5° during installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum rated current for the DAA series?
The DAA series supports a rated service current of up to 6300A, with various frame sizes ranging from 1000A to 6300A.
What types of protection does the intelligent trip unit provide?
The electronic trip unit provides comprehensive protection against over-load, under-voltage, short-circuit, and single-phase earthing faults.
Is this circuit breaker suitable for high-altitude use?
The standard installation is rated for altitudes up to 2000 meters. For higher altitudes, please consult technical specifications for derating.
What is the difference between the Fixed and Drawable mounting?
Fixed mounting is permanently attached to the switchgear, while Drawable mounting allows the breaker to be easily removed for maintenance without disconnecting main busbars.
What international standards do these breakers meet?
All units are manufactured in compliance with international IEC 947-2 and national GB14048.2 standards.
What are the available protection degrees (IP ratings)?
The units offer IP30 for normal open mounting, and can reach IP40 or IP54 with additional door frames and transparent covers.
